I grew up on a dairy farm in Virginia. I had one brother and was always very active in 4-H, having many calves and chickens for 4-H projects. I graduated from college with a BS degree in Home Economics. John and I were married right after graduation and I taught first grade while he was still in school. We have 4 children and 16 grandchildren. My husband is a pastor and has lead churches in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. We are retired now but are still very active in church and community activities. My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:33, "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you". That has proven true for me over and over. My hobbies are quilting and sewing and I really enjoy leading women's Bible Studies.
