Cindy Sue Barnes
Roles: Prayer Director
My name is Cindy Sue Barnes and I coordinate the Prayer Warriors team. I believe in the power of prayer. My life has been built around it. I endeavor to assist the church in its mission of praying for all areas of life and responsibility - global, national, corporate, and individual.
The team is prepared to pray whenever a request is received. Requests may be submitted in several ways. The church phone number is 570-729-7544. The bulletin provides a card on which to write the request and then place it in the offering box. My contact phone number is 845-252-3344 and my email address is [email protected]. Requests received are forwarded to the the team members.
A praise response is appreciated when prayer requests are answered.
Prayer is the right-hand arm of the church and the foundation on which the church is built. Communication with God for His guidance is paramount. The Lord calls us to pray with confidence. 1 John 5:14 tells us that "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." Listening for His directives keeps the church focused on its mission.
Scripture tells us in Ephesians 6:18 that we are to..."pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." It continues by saying..."be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people."
It is my pleasure to serve the church in this capacity.
Favorite Scripture Verse: Philippians 4:13 - “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
Favorite Worship Song/Hymn: A Mighty Fortress is our God by Martin Luther.
